JEE 2014 Entrance Exam – JEE (Main) Entrance Exam Results 2014

JEE Main Exam conducted by CBSE is held for the entry to UG Engineering Programmes (BE/ BTech/BArch/BPlanning) at NITs, IIITs, IIT, Other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions and Institutions funded by participating State Governments.

The Paper-1 (B. E./B. Tech.) of JEE (Main) will also be an eligibility test for the JEE (Advanced), which the candidate has to take if he/she is aspiring for admission to the undergraduate programmes offered by the IITs.

JEE Main 2014

JEE Main 2014 will be held between 6-19 April 2014. While the Offline Exam will be held on 6 April, the Online Exam will be held on 9, 11, 12 & 19 April 2014 at the designated examination centres.

How to Apply

Candidates of JEE (Main) – 2014 have to apply online only at www.jeemain.nic.in. There is no printed application form for JEE (Main).

Start of Online Application: November 15, 2013

Last date for Online Application: December 26, 2013

Download of JEE Main 2014 Admit Card: March 1, 2014 onwards.

JEE Main 2014 Test Date (Offline Exam – Pen & Paper based)

  • Paper 1 - April 6, 2014 from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm
  • Paper 2 – April 6, 2014 from 2 pm to 5 pm

  • April 9, 11, 12, 19

Type of Examination

JEE (Main) – 2014 shall have two papers, Paper-1 and Paper-2. Candidates may take Paper-1, or Paper-2, or both as per the course(s) they are seeking admission to.

Mode of Examination

The Paper-1 (described below) of JEE (Main) will be conducted in two separate modes i.e. Offline (Pen and Paper Based Examination) mode and Online (Computer Based Examination) mode. The Paper-2 of JEE (Main) will be conducted only in Pen and Paper based examination mode. A candidate will opt for either Pen and Paper Based or Computer Based examination modes for Paper-1 only.

Score and Result for JEE (Main) 2014

The score of JEE (Main) – 2013 for all candidates may be declared by 3rd May 2014

This score shall comprise of the actual marks obtained in JEE (Main) – 2013 along with the status of those who qualify for appearing in JEE (Advanced) – 2014 provided other conditions of eligibility are met.

Separately, on the basis of score in JEE (Main) and normalised score in Class 12th or other qualifying exam (60% & 40% weightage respectively), separate rank lists will be prepared for admission to B.E./B.Tech. and B.Arch/ B.Planning (in institutions other than IITs).

Mock Test and FAQs for JEE(Main) – 2014 Computer Based Examination

Mock Test – For hands on experience of Computer Based Examination of JEE(Main)-2014, last year’s mock test of AIEEE Computer Based Exam has been made available which can be downloaded by the candidates to have look and feel of computer based examination in simulated environment. Another mock test specially made for JEE(Main)-2014 examination will also be made available to JEE(Main)-2014 Computer Based Exam Candidates in the first/second week of Jan 2014.
