Subjects in ISC Class 12
Examinations are conducted for English, which is a compulsory subject, and three to five other subjects of the candidate’s choosing, usually grouped in one of three streams: Humanities (typically: Psychology,Geography, History, Sociology, Economics), Sciences (Biology, Chemistry, Physics), and Commerce (Economics, Accounting, Commerce). Schools generally offer a limited subset of these subjects depending upon their logistical capabilities. Socially Useful Productive Work (SUPW) is also considered important, with students getting a grade for this on with their mark sheets.
THE ISC (CLASS 12)
The Indian School Certificate Examination is an examination, through the medium of English, designed in accordance with the recommendations of the New Education Policy 1986, after a two-year course of studies beyond the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (Year 10) examination or its equivalent examination.
ISC 12 Result 2015
ISC declared its result on 18 May 2015. Akarya Chatterjee of Kolkata has topped the list with 399 marks out of 400. He scored highest marks with 99.75 percent. 71,141 students appeared for the exam this year including 38,659 boys and 32,482 girls.
The Indian School Certificate (ISC) is an examination conducted by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations for Grade 12, i.e., class 12. A student usually attempts this examination after first completing the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education in Grade 10, although the completion of a recognized equivalent level of education is normally sufficient.
The examination has been designed to provide an evaluation in the field of general education. The exam criteria are in accordance with the recommendations of the Indian New Education Policy of 1986, through the medium of English and also regulated by University of Cambridge.
